Subject: RE: [wdvltalk] dsk files (zip) - how do I install the
program?
Hi Joseph
.dsk files are disk images of floppies (much like ISO for
CDs)...
MagicISO
is able to open these files (allegedly)
Sorry I haven't had a chance to look around properly yet but if
I find
anything useful I'll post
Dan
Dan,
Thanks very much for your trouble. I've now got diskmanager but
it keeps telling me these are not valid M(X)-DOS files!! It has
done the same to some .dsk copies that I found on an old CD.
I'm just flummoxed. Should I use DSKMGR via the command line,
and if so how? ;-(. Or is there just something odd about
these files. I note that though the zips are different sizes
all the .dsk results are 140kb, on both sets of files!
If I could code - if I had the time - if I knew what I was doing
;-) - I suppose I could make them work under Windoze...
ah! dream on...
Joseph
