HI,

Just got out of a meeting describing something we would like to do.
Naturally my fingers are waiting to begin the process, but first I
ought to see if there are any wheels out there like this.

Preference is for unix and expects to run 24x7.

It's a project management site. Must begin with a lot of basic
templates that will then be customized for each project (but really
should remain pretty much the same).

>From a recent perusal of a book on Lotus Notes I would bet that
Notes/Domino probably has something (but would it be robust to be up
and ready 24x7?).

Here are the top level categories:

Estimates
Budgets
Correspondence
Invoices
The Work
Timelines
Background

Each of those categories gets a page which defines its purposes and
then lists those documents related to each category. Every page will
have a feedback button (feeding to one form which tracks from which
page it came and then feeding into a rdbms as I envision it). Some
pages will have approval/approved boxes (if not approved then box
reads approve and if approved then box reads approved). Descriptions
of every document will go into a rdbms so that sorts and searches can
be done. Each of the above pages will be generated on-the-fly after
consulting the rdbms. Some categories will also be linked to a
reminder system.

So before I run off and create a new wheel, is there something
already like this out there?

Thanks,

Peter

about in this world, and something has to be done about it.
