Well, here I was really looking forward to my 'Installing and configuring Apache web server on Linux' workshop at Sydney University next weekend when the phone rang yesterday and the workshop was cancelled - because there were only 3 enrollees!!!! So here I am ploughing through Sam's Teach yourself Linux in 24 hours' followed by 'Running Linux'. But on a quick perusal none of the clearly tell you how to install programs. I'm running Redhat 5.0 and just bought WordPerfect for Linux as I'm planning in the long term to dump Windows completely (except at work, of course, where I don't have a choice since OS/2 has now gone by the wayside). I get the Control Panel in X-windows when I startx under root. Can I install thru this. I don't want to much around too much with root access not knowing what I'm doing, although I guess i can always reinstall if I totally screw things up. So, can anyone tell me simply how to install WP? (In the WP doco's it simply says that quote, your system administrator will install Word Perfect unquote, but since that's me.....
