COREL CHOOSES LINUX
Corel's hardware division announced it will use the public Linux
operating system for its new line of network computer products. It
will also make the OS source code publicly available to third-party
developers. Click for full story. Our take: Don't know why anyone
would buy an NC when they can get a PC with more features for
less money. But as Jesse suggested recently (click for full story),
Linux does have an outside chance of being a competitor to
commercial operating systems.
