I've recently done a little research into implementing banner ads for some
potential clients. Seems to be a lot of conflicting data out there, plus the
companies involved in this all seem to be sold/aquired/folded on a daily basis.
Be sure to check Mark Welch's site for the banner outsourcing info
(www.markwelch.com) and ClickZ (www.clickz.com) for the latest news in
banner ad "stuff". Also, if you go to their new search site, SearchZ
(www.searchz.com) and click on the Advertising link, you'll find more ad
stuff. (They're just building this directory site, so some of the sections
have little or no info in them so far, but there's more there every day).
Also, check the I-Advertising archives (http://www.internetadvertising.org/)
for recent postings on average traffic, etc. ICONOCAST
(http://www.iconocast.com/) also has advertising data in their newsletter.
