Even if we are sponsored by MS we have to pay some services of our ISP. For this year we won't pay housing, an Olivetti dual Pentium box, NT server software, IIS 2, Commerce and some other things but... TUM TUM TUM <drum roll> we have to pay for the server manitence (wekly backup of SQL database, daily backup of online orders/clients DB, emergency ressurrection from crash (no intervention time specified), something they call account menagement of shop administration /it's not my bad translation, I don't understand it in Italain too, upgrades and patch of NT (not later than 1 month from their release), cleaning of rubbish and log files) That's all what they offer at TUM TUM RATATUM the "modest" price of 250 thousand Lit. a month + VAT or 150$+20% a month (sorry if the change is not perfect) And this is just maintenance. We will pay from next year 4400$ a year of housing. Well this is quite staqndard in italy but with the previous provider we didn't have to pay maintenance. So I'm asking if we can say to them we will renounce to some "services" without being worried about frequent crash. I'm a little bit worried about reliability of NT server and IIS and Commerce. Things that require SO MUCH HW really scare me. Any experience...
