OK, here's a bit more info on how FM and Claris Homepage work together.
There's a huge help section on Filemaker in Homepage, but I haven't delved
into it at all. Instead, I spent an hour or two figuring the WYSIWYG editor
out. It's pretty nice though it was really ticking me off for awhile 'til I
figured out that I needed to turn off its tendency to add <P>s around
everything in Preferences.

Claris Home Page 3.0 comes with two ways to connect your Web site to a
FileMaker 4.0 database.

1) You can create an entire FileMaker-connected web site using the Claris
Home Page FileMaker Connection assistant (see Help for more information
about creating a new site using an assistant).

2) You can insert FileMaker connection tags (CDML) into existing HTML
pages. Tags are contained in two FileMaker Connection Libraries that come
with Claris Home Page 3.0. These libraries can be used to extend HTML pages
that were originally created using the assistant, or to create a FileMaker
connection from scratch. Here is a brief description of both libraries:

- FileMaker Form Library. FileMaker tags grouped by form action. For
example, all of the tags that can be used in a Search page, Details page,
or New-record page. Required tags for each form type are grouped together
making it easy to create basic format files. Optional tags are also
conveniently available to use as needed.

- FileMaker Reference Library. All of the FileMaker tags arranged in
alphabetical order.
The FileMaker tags you insert into your web page interact with FileMaker
Pro databases. Once a tag is inserted into your web page, you can customize
properties for the tag using the Object Editor.
