Late last week we switched from a partial T1 (256K) to a DSL connection. Fast, and only a portion of the price. Splitting the cost with the business next door to us 50/50, we'll now be paying $100 and a bit a month instead of $450. It's a little too soon to tell if the connection is as good all around -- we've noticed some of our sw doesn't work with DSL (we have some stuff to test line problems, and that can't handle DSL for example). Also, there are problems connecting to some sites (which could be a name server or routing problem through the ISP, Brainstorm). But all in all, I'm happy. Hookup and change-over went smoother than I expected as well, with the DSL and Pac Bell folks starting on late in the day one day and finishing up the next morning. Any other folks out there trying out DSL? --Tamra Heathershaw-Hart (who's heading off to SF to pitch a web site design to an investment capital firm) ____________________________________________________________________ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Join The Web Consultants Association : Register on our web site Now Web Consultants Web Site : http://just4u.com/webconsultants If you lose the instructions All subscription/unsubscribing can be done directly from our website for all our lists. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
