Hi, folks -- just attended ThunderLizard's WebDesign 98 event in Seattle.
Amazing -- more than 500 people from all over the country. Even someone
from Sweden, I think.

Jared Spool was there -- you know, usability testing -- he is quite
entertaining and I think his main point is to shock people into realizing
the need to /do/ usability testing.

The graphics sessions were fun -- picked up quite a few shortcuts ... they
were using 266 G3's ... and they really really flew!

Most of the folks attending the event were "designers" ... so a bit
Photoshop heavy. Picked up some Extensis <?sp> software .... and was
impressed with the Wacom tablet.

After two days of Roger Black, DHTML, CSS, etc -- it closed with
"cross-platform" issues. Frankly, I think this should have been the /first/
presenter <shrug>.

It was fun -- but I'm glad I got the webGrrls discount -- I know more than
I realized I do. Thanks in great part to this list!

Kathy
