I'm just getting into FileMakerPro for the Web myself, and it has been a
torturous ride. The FileMaker Pro Web Talk list
http://www.blueworld.com/lists/fmpro/ is pretty good, but tends to deal
with a little over my head. One of the FileMaker tech support dudes
occasionally answers questions.

I've spent most of this week dealing with basic issues like just fooling
the damn program into thinking my Mac is a server, figuring out why the
demos on the CDrom wouldn't work, getting Claris Homepage and FMP4 to talk
to each other, etc. Just today I finally got my first search function
running and figured out how to customize the HTML pages. Whew!!! But hey,
it's pretty cool now that I finally got it working. Let's see: six days to
get the programs running, and only about two hours to build interactive,
customized pages. Yikes! Needless to say I'm not a big admirer of FMP's or
Claris Homepage's manuals.

If Paul needs help with real basic stuff like this, he's welcome to write me.
