Unfortunately, as Tamra said we are too geographically dispersed.
When I spoke with him this morning I asked if there was anything
I or anybody else could do, and he said no. Since he is in NYC,
it is easier for me to get to him at least until he goes home.
His sister and brother-in-law are also with him.
Suz, your idea of expressing condolences is OK by me. I agree
that this community should do something. Al has spent a lot of
time getting this group to work as well as it does, and
unattended. I'm open to any ideas, and am willing to act as the
collector/coordinator during these rough times.
While he is sitting shiva he is not supposed to do anything,
including telephone. He did call this morning, but may not do so
again until the mourning period (shiva) is over. Every time I
think about it, tears come to my eyes. His son was doing so well
for a while, and it looked like he was going to get better.
