Note that the illusion of space between the right edge of the picture and
the text is created by approximately ten pixels of transparent background.

On another page in this site, "Interview with Dr. Turner" accessible from
AboutTLC, I was never able to get rid of the 1 pixel dividing line between
images by any logical means, so I finally just made the left column 1 pixel
narrower than the image itself. It was  a kludge, but it worked.
