For a limited time, and to selected web sites, I am going to offer to host
"video ad banners" as a technology demonstration and a proving ground for
our techniques.
If you or a client (any web-consultants mailing list participant or your
clients) would like to try this cutting edge ad banner type FREE for 1 or 2
months, take a look at the demo sample
(this is intended to be a technology demonstration, not a design showcase)
see

PLEASE NOTE, you MUST have the RealVideo Plugin installed. It is available
for free at http://real.com/products/player

We have seen nearly no problems with MSIE 3 or 4 but some with Netscape
that should have been resolved by now. HOWEVER an additional problem and
the mystery I cannot get resolved is that even though we seem to have taken
away the problem for Netscape on Wintel platforms, MAC users still report
difficulties. I haven't got a Mac to troubleshoot with. I can't see the
problem, I can't figure it out. If you see "broken link" puzzle pieces
and/or get report that you need a plugin for MIME type text/plain, please
let me know. (if the same broken-link/MIME-type text/plain thing has
'come back' with NS and Wintel let me know too, I think I know how to fix
it, I don't know how to prevent the technicians from doing it again.)

If you have figured out the mystery, call me (toll free in the USA at
888-584-5476)

If you are interested in the streaming video banner ads free trial, you
need to supply the video in real video format (or send it to our service
bureau, we won't do that for free, sorry) preferably 160x120 or smaller
(actual banner size we are using is 80x60, although it you want to host
different format banners we will be happy to accomodate that too). One
other condition is that we use the bottom of the banner as a link to our
site (a small strip across the bottom).

You can have multiple multi-media links (e.g. a "click here to hear" audio
link in addition to the video contained in the banner, as in the
example/demo, or even a popup window link), a client side image map for
multiple hyperlinks, and no restriction (for the present) on size of
banner, or total data size (if you want to try out 100k graphics in a
banner ad, we'd advise against it, not many people will wait long enough to
see it, but it isn't 'against the rules' for this free trial at least).
(Okay, let's be realistic too, not more than 1 meg total size.) YOU
supply the video (up to 90 seconds in length), you supply any text you want
in the banner, and/or any graphics. YOU specify the links.
We will supply the code to paste into your web page, we will supply the
remote video hosting service. No charge for up to 2 months.

ONLY a select number of sites and a limited number of free trial banner ad
will be accepted (as our time, availability and other resources permit).

Although we can serve video through a firewall, we are not set up to do so
at this time. If the majority of your web visitors are behind a firewall,
you are advised against attempting this under our free trial offer. The
"up to 2 months" provision is based on a limit of 50,000 free exposures.
