I need a category added for:
Being on the phone with your salespeople while you have your web browser
open and are looking at prices less than half what they just quoted you
on the exact same systems, and maintaining a calm presence while they
tell you they work hard to get the best prices out there for you . . .
so the systems you're looking at (on the manufacturers damn web site, to
boot) must be deficient in some way. And no, they don't seem to have a
web browser nearby they can use to check this.
*grumble* I wonder how many idiots in IT **are actually paying** $4700
for a Compaq PII 300 with 64 megs of RAM/3.2 gig HD/17 inch monitor.
(in batches of ten, nonetheless) :P
This must be worth about 5 calories a minute when fully infuriated :)
Extra 5 calories for discovering they're charging you $599 additional
for an OS the manufacturer says they provide with the system. :P
