My vague understanding was that the pyramid and eye were metaphysical
symbols derived from our founding fathers' involvement in either the Masons
or the Rosacrucians. In general, the Great Pyramid represents spiritual
attainment and the eye would represent insight or the gift of inner vision.
Regrettably, I have no further details with regard specifically to the
founding fathers.
