A year or so ago Joe Gillespie and Tomas Caspers started a site called
Browser Brothers, which was intended to do much the same as the Web
Standards site. Last fall when Joe visited us here in Oregon, the original
plan was for Tomas to meet him in the Bay area, then they were going on a
joint mission to talk to the powers that be at Netscape about the problem
with dithering in NN3. They were never able to get an appointment with
anyone at Netscape. Tomas ended up being unable to leave Germany because of
work conflicts. Without an appointment, and afraid to drive in the US on
the wrong side of the road, Joe gave up on his mission. I can't remember
any details, but I seem to remember Joe mentioning that the new group is an
offshoot of his and Tomas' Browser Brothers project, which for reasons
unknown, was abandoned. I noticed that Tomas is a member of the group.
Judging from Netscape's lack of responsiveness to their requests to discuss
the issue last fall, I'm not real optimistic. I tried to sign up but also
got error messages.
