The web is a place where when you need something it's very easy
to find it by your own. Of course it is more annoying massive
unsollicited unrelated spam, than related unsollicited spam.
Actually Linda asked for some good solution about shopping cart.
I suppose she was looking for the advice of some of her colegues,
an unpartial opinion. What is strange and annoying is that she
received emails of people she never heard before.
How could you trust such people?
They never respond to any question on the list. How could you
think they are experts with valuable opinions. How could you trust
them?
If some active member you know, and you trust, who responded to
many questions, sugest you his/her own product, this could be ok,
but he/she should use tact.
You're right, sometimes in some circumstance you can find helpful
such advertising, but the people on the net are growing, also the
companies on the net are growing.
I'm going to spend a holiday in Hungary and I need an health
assurance. If this post will be intercepted by some spammer how
many email do you think I'll receive?
I don't want to be pedantic. I'm not so sensible to spam and
fortunately I receive very few spam letter compared to US people.
But I think there are really better, equally cheap, much more useful
way to promote a product.
For example, and I'm sure I'll receive a lot of support from list
members ;-), realizeing good informative web site and offering good
services (eg. mailing list on your products) could be better means.
ehi, out there, I'm waiting your applause!!!
They don't want to use their brain to find clear, competitive,
functional products and marketing solution.
They just seems vultures.
Think of them waiting in silence for an email (this was exactly what
they did... they wait in silence)
I know I'm a little bit (just a little) too much optimistic but if search
engines ranked sites on real text, if people use the web to convey
information, if software houses stop their battles on browser
standards, if companies build up useful sites, easy searchable,
etc... the world would be a better place :-)
How easy could be to find shopping cart products?
Anyway I really understand your point of view but real freedom is
the result of a good choice of rules.
So Ivan said after leaving Mont Sinai, AMEN. :-)
