I, for one, "use" the web to waste time, conduct research, get news when
I miss it on TV, send email, etc. It's very convenient that all of
those nice corporations moved onto the web and let me order things when
I want to . . . but I don't log in just to visit their sites, no matter
how good they are.
Lately, I've also noticed another thing (largely from being around a new
staff). Even when you design something "right", and it benefits people
from good design, they often *still* don't realize that it is designed
"right". They use it in their own idiosyncratic way, and complain that
it still doesn't match the way they use it.
