For large applications, I would start with Cold Fusion as the language
and then
either go with:
a) NT, MS SQL, Netscape Server (haven't been impressed with IIS)
b) Unix (solaris flavour), Netscape, Sybase
For solution b) take a look at http://www.tristarweb.com and for
solution a) you
might want to check out http://www.minerva.net (I deal with them).
Minerva also
has a unix, Cold Fusion, mySQL (or msql can't remember) solution.
You can check out the CF site at http://www.coldfusion.com and see some
of the
heavy systems it's running on now.
