Re yesterday's hallucinogenic-burrito-induced discovery of little sparkly
things that follow the cursor around the screen: I lifted and simplified
some of the code that created that effect, so that you have a regular
image file following the cursor rather than the mathematically generated
dots of color.

Actually, I think this could be made to work with MSIE 4 as well, but
because I don't have that parasitic-OS-sucking-etc on my system, I can't
test it. Anyway, feel free to lift and edit my (borrowed) code in the
unlikely event you have any use for it.
