i know about the others, but the publishing part is too "hard" for most,
besides: the wysiwyg editors have no added value, since their code-output
only seem to p*ss off the non-wysiwyggers on the team ;-)
btw the golive editor is mac-only (the page-maker, script editor, css
editor, dhtml-editor site-management tool etc), the other parts aren't, is
what makes me so verrrrrrry happy, since most of our clients are pc-minded.
btw: don't know anybody on this list that actually uses golive cs, but it
provides beautiful code, if you set it up for that (two steps in the
preferences and the html-database - that is fully editable btw)
it can also incorporate non-html stuff like .asp code (to be continued when
we go online ;-)
oh, and blueworld has adapted their lassoo-tags so that they are enclosed in
<> instead of [], especially to be incorporated in the cyberstudio
html-database, meaning you can very easily make filemaker-driven sites.
oh, and cs supports webobjects, making it a good editor for
webobjects-driven sites
(example: http://www.apple.com/)
mmm, and one you'll be able to appreciate: the tags dbase is set up to the
w3c standards.
i actually get very good ratings when i put my sites through the wringer
(the garage/doctor html-checkers)
best of all: it doesn't put a metatag with "creator=golive corporate
advertising what great pages can you make with our editor" in your code
(actually it does, but switching that off is one of the two steps i
mentioned in the preferences to get clean code ;-)
cheers again
