I had a little problem like that too.. but only with the web.. A consultant
or maybe a Internet magazine reader told a client of mine that he could have
his web site (which was a colocated server) with about 50 pages in 2
languages and order forms with a java chat and whole bunch of little things
for 20 bucks
well these guys exploted on me, I couldn't beleive the beleived something
like that can go for $20... well the thing these people requested their
colocated server back and that they no longer need my services.
well anyway, the domain still not moved or modified, I put a 404 error
statement when you go to their domain.... anyways by other mouth I heard
that they want to put back the web site and they got backups.
I know it's extremelly stupid of me, but I don't have a written contract but
every page has my copyright statement. I don't know what to do but for sure
I don't want them to use my code, I even did the translations it took me
days because it was beauty products and I know nothing about that in
English,
what can I do for them not tjo use that site, i took it off line and there
is no way they can get it, they havent' called me for the NT password in
their computer, that means they haven't got in yet.
well anyway I need to protect my code before they do something ahead of me..
any ideas ????
Thats the last time I trust somebody, everybody gets a contract now !!!!!!
