Hello, After reading references to netscape devedge I visited the site. I saw that for US$95 a year I could be one thing or another. For many reasons I signed up. I then heard nothing other than a basic confirmation if that. I received my cc bill. Still no word that I could recall from Netscape. I sent a complaint and they responded in a few days. So I paid the bill. And just the other day I received this nice boxed set of CD's. Must be at least 20 CD's. LiveWire Pro, to communicator and Suite Spot and Mission Control and more. The most interesting thing so far has been my ability to create my own Netscape. I downloaded the source files -- gee, it was like 170 meg after I unzipped it all. I wanted to customize my own netscape. Too daunting to pursue at the time. Well, Mission Control is a GUI for customizing Netscape. I just finished changing the netscape animated meteor for the logo of the company where I work. A nice touch. But more important is that you can set all sorts of values. You really get all kinds of control. I am going to customize netscape and then I build an installer (all done for me really) and then I will put it on the company's intranet. It will already have all the values any user needs: mail servers etc....The user will only need put in his username. There is a feature for a central configuration file and I have to look into how that works. All very promising. We have some people in our company who have pushed IE. In fact nearly everyone is still using IE 3.0. I already moved the intranet from NT to Linux and now I think I will be able to move the company's browser from IE to Netscape.
