The number on requirement is interest with caring about longer term
goals, a close second. But that is not excitement, not by a long shot!
You can trade off interest vs experience and ability to some degree,
but when the old adrenaline rises, the width of the valley the river of
consciousness flows through, becomes narrower. Soon, you can not see
beyond the bend, nor climb out to survey the landscape. (Not even Think
of climbing out to survey the landscape!)
