Hey all. Just got off the phone with Javilk. His speech is slurred, but he
seems more lucid than he sounded on Friday Night, when I talked to him for
an hour or so. A friend of his, Paul, had stopped by to check in on him.
Heh! ;} Both Paul and I inquired at the same time "Who is on the other
line? Who are you talking to John?" Everyone seems to be looking out for
Javilk. ;}
Javilk seems to be still in rough shape, but I think he said that he is in
less pain than he was before.
He seems to be trying to get back to health using I.V. drips that he has
been setting himself, with the I.V.'s containing Vitamin C, and sometimes
mixing it with dextrose. (Some technical information about is stored on his
public web site, Mall-Net <http://www.mall-net.com/cathcart/titrate.html>,
or you can scroll down more information at Dr. Cathcart's Web Site at
<http://www.mall-net.com/cathcart>). He usually has, in the past, used
these I.V. drips of Vitamin C when he feels fatigued, or has a cold, and
says they have always been helpful in the past. When I asked him if why he
didn't just drink orange juice, he mentioned that it has a lot of material
in it that is irrelevant.
The silica hydride Javilk was taking, under the trade name "Microhydrinhe",
was purchased at a "Life Expo" in San Francisco. So far, he had only taken
two gel capsules of the silica, but I was afraid that since Javilk had
mentioned in earlier posts that he has Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
(MCS) <http://www.mall-net.com/mcs/mcs.html> if that was enough to severely
effect him. He feared that the silicon would collect in his body, forming
silicon spicules, and may be responsible for causing his pain. As if
passing kidney stones wasn't enough!
He said that he was suffering because he had lost blood due to the passage
of kidney stones, when he went to the hosipital this past Monday, and from
dehydration.
He does seem to be hanging in there... I hope! (Fingers crossed tightly.)
Heh! Poor guy. Having to listen to me prattle on and trying to boost his
morale via telephone. ;} He probably regrets that he ever gave me his
telephone number. ;} ..... I do hope he gets the care he needs soon.....
Some things I was worried about... On his doctor's web page
<http://www.orthomed.com/civprep.htm>, at the bottom of the page, Dr.
Cathcart mentions that when administering I.V. Drips of Vitamin C, he
always watches out for dehydration in his patients, due to the drip.
I did also see information that "High dose vitamin C may be a problem in
patients with a tendency to kidney stone formation. Check with your
physician if this is your situation." -Stephen B. Strum
