South China Morning Post: Largest Net Growth Comes From Outside US
May 12 1998: According to the top executives of six of the Internet's
largest companies, the biggest growth of the Net is coming from outside the
US.
One third of Alta Vista visitors are from an international audience
according to Robert Hult, vice president of Alta Vista Internet Software.
The executives agreed that the lowering in price of PCs and the
privatisation of foreign telecommunication companies is driving
international growth.
The other representatives included, Tim Koogle of Yahoo!, Robert Davis of
Lycos, Harry Motro of Infoseek, Beth Vanderslice of HotBot, and George Bell
of Excite.
