Heh, ok .. enough story telling there. Well, my new AMD K6 200 came
yesterday and after setting it up looking at an empty HD, I installed
Win98.
After 2 hours of cussing why the modem wouldn't work .. I found the
answer in the trouble shooter. Hardware acceleration .. turn it off and
the modem worked fine.
Now the real fun begins, customizing 98 to get rid of all the garbage.
Anyone have any sites for Win98 tips and tricks? I found some
information.. I use to have a bunch but lost them when my work computer
decided it didn't want to work anymore.
