The thing is, as has been told, most problems are going to appear
in embedded systems and mainframes. And some of these embedded
systems are 15+ years old and finding the code, let alone
rebuilding it is going to be interesting.
I wouldn't want to be in any airplane/airport on 11:59 PM Dec 31, 1999
I plan on purchasing a backup generator in August of that year as
a precaution.
