3 years ago travelling inside China on a domestic Chinese airline, after
firing up my laptop I was informed by the stewardess that laptop computers
were not allowed at _any_ time during the flight. I tried to explain that
on all other airlines around the world they were allowed during flight and
they really didn't cause any problems, but to no avail. Other passengers
started yelling at me in fearful tones as if I was going to cause a crash.
It was amazing. I closed up the computer.
There's the international way, and then there is the Chinese way...
