Hello,

My esteemed web developers need to present a site and it will be
offline.

They downloaded the site but the html pages with flash cause the
browser to crash.

I installed Apache on the win95 machines and set the mime-types and
server the pages via Apache but the result was the same.

What could it be? I know nothing of flash. I do know that the flash
files were "compiled" with absolute paths -- but that should not
crash the browser if the file is not accessed on the same server,
should it?? Very odd.

A solution might be to tell Apache that the server name is the name
of the server in the absolute path and set that name in the windows
lmhosts file or whatever it is. And disconnect the computer from the
net (it will be disconnected at the event anyway).

I searched dejanews and even the macromedia site about this because I
thought it so odd.

Anyone have a clue?

Peter
