This has been ticking me off as well, so I spent some time on it for both
of us. Here's how I fixed it. Highlight the "link" that shouldn't be. In
the standard toolbar, click on the "insert link" icon... the globe with a
chain link next to it (between 'redo' and 'tables and borders' on my
toolbar). Say no. you don't want to save (unless you do), and then click
on the 'remove link' box at the bottom left of the dialog box. If you
don't have a 'remove link' box, you probably -I know from experience:( -
forgot to highlight the link. Then (and only then) can you go back to your
now non-link and remove the capitalization which Bill so helpfully forced
upon you.

I find this with all M$ products, so I assumed it was not fixable. Anybody?
