Okay, I'm stumped. If you tried that dhtml page I've been working on at (http://www.familyforever.org/public/ageared.html), in NC4 you'll note a brown, slotted sidebar on the left side (the one with the moving gears in it). It's a background image. Not sure if everyone else is having the following problem, but if you use IE4 to access that page the background sidebar doesn't download. Though a nonconventional use of the background attribute, I added it to the <DIV> tag for that section (layer) of the page. The code reads like this: <DIV id="LayoutRegion3LYR" BACKGROUND="http://www.familyforever.org/images/sidebar.gif"><LAYER id="LayoutRegion3LYR" VISIBILITY=INHERIT TOP=0 LEFT=0 WIDTH=121 HEIGHT=525 Z-INDEX=3 BACKGROUND="http://www.familyforever.org/images/sidebar.gif" > Why I'm stumped: if I load the page into IE4 from my C:/ drive, the background image is downloaded from the web site and used in the <DIV>. If I load the page from the web site, the background image doesn't load. I've tried checking things by clearing the image from the cache, reloading from the web, etc. But regardless of the combination, the image will only if I load the page from my C:/ drive. Everything works fine in NC4, btw, but that's because the <Layer> tag "officially" allows the use of the background attribute.
