Anyone know what this sendmail error message means:
unknown local-part "username" in domain "theirdomain.com"
?
A client of a client, hosted on iServer, forwarded this on to me. I dug
around a little and discovered that all mail sent to any address at
"theirdomain.com" is generating this error message. Only clue I have so far
is that I can't telnet or ftp to their server without putting www. in front
of their domain name. Their httpd.conf and srm.conf files haven't changed
since 1996. Could the source of the error be higher up the food chain, maybe
in the DNS setup?
