A number of years ago when I was active on Fidonet ("express" e-mail
might actually arrive the same day you sent it!), I belonged to an echo
called KoffeeKlatsch, which was a sort of grown-up chat thingy... gossip
and patter about our kids, jobs, that sort of thing.
There was a regular on the echo named, coincidentally, Suzann (no "e"),
an eloquent and rather reserved single woman who was involved in a
relationship with a man she'd met through Fido.
Anyway, one day she got her wires crossed and sent to the echo the
most astonishingly explicit and imaginative post, telling her man precisely
what she intended to do with and to him the following weekend --
goodness, behind that demure exterior lurked the steamy heart of an
erotic tigress!
Sooo... the following day she posted a one-sentence note of apology, and
we never heard from the poor woman again. Humiliation was just too
much, I guess. Dunno how things turned out for her and her paramour;
certainly sounded like their love life was healthy, anyway :)
