hhrrumph.... my $.02' worth on the Greenspan site is not that it's
over-designed, but that it suffers from lack of  any design whatsover.
There hasn't been a qualified designer within *miles* of that site. No
designer in his or her right mind would stick random photos into a layout
without regard to whether they enhanced the story being told. But that's
not all; the rest of the layout is totally un-designed as well. Early
Pagemaker, at best.

I'm a little late getting into this conversation, but it seems to me that
the types of sites referred to in the InterDay article and Greenspan's site
are on two different planets and don't relate to each other at all.
Greenspan's article isn't over-designed. It's just totally clueless.
