Actually, I like his falling leaf background at:

too. Note that you can stop and start them from the bottom (leaf)
button on the floating navbar as well.
Should probably also note this page:

which does a nice job of demonstrating the "sticky flies" (as he calls
them)--the process of making the animated gif sparklies (or flies, such
as they are) follow the cursor around the screen.
