Nope! Not great ;}
The only thing I am relying on is me... I pay the instructor to help me and
teach me. Otherwise I would have just saved the money and taught myself.
The only help he gives is the fact that he gives no help. Remember... he
gave -no- help on how to design databases. He only handed one homework
assignment from a book of his, previous to the test, and told us nothing of
how to do it, or gave us any reading material that directly or indirectly
related to the homework. We did get to present out shoddy in-class
projects, and he merely mumbled and nodded. That's no teaching. It is what
passes for teaching. If I hadn't of known minamally how to do this, I would
have dropped out of class like I did years ago, like the kids have been
doing from this database "class", one-by-one, since that horrendous test.
If this was an independent study, and no grade was attached, I would fully
agree that this is wonderful... but in this case a C or a D on my
transcript would still be a C or a D. Whether I learn anything in this clas
will be because of my sweating, re-re-reading MS Access's help docs,
getting two to three hours of sleep in the past two nights. Since I am
paying money, I expected -some- type of coaching. I tell you, that first
test shoulda been a final!
