Hi,
I believe you do have to install the fonts, which you can do from the control
panel. You have to select the fonts even if they're in the fonts directory,
and then install them.
I have been told there's a 1000 font maximum. I have all sorts of problems
with fonts, too, like programs shutting down while I'm choosing fonts, and not
being able to view them with fontview.exe. If I try to install a new font,
I'm told it's corrupted. Must be "features".
