check HTML specs. This, I believe was an MSIE'ism. It might be incorporated
into HTML 4 but wasn't in 3.2.
the larger point -- you don't have a helluva lot of control over output --
colors, screen rez, size, etc. and the fonts are going to look like crap
anyway, compared to "annual report quality print." so why the heartache over
precise placement? i guess i just don't get it.
