STOP PRESS: HomeSite returns to shareware
                                          I
n an interview with this column, HomeSite creator Nick

Bradbury has revealed that his high-level HTML editor is

returning to shareware status in the new version 4.0

released last week. Owner Allaire has adopted a

"HomeSite everywhere" strategy, Bradbury says, so the

new version will nag you to pay up but will never time out.

An evaluation version is at www.allaire.com. A HomeSite

4.0 review will appear in these pages soon - but the new

version fixes most of the product's small list of weaknesses.

And with a registration price of $US89 or $A181 for the

boxed version, it puts plenty of pressure on Sausage's rival

$US199 HotDog editor.
