There's always been speculation that Windows NT:VMS::IBM:HAL, since
a chunk of the VMS team wound up working on NT.
(We have our own: for a while...hmm, I think mid-80s to early 90s...there
was a California company called Mt Xinu, who took their name from what
was frequently found all over Bell Labs documentation: UNIX TM.)
