Some months ago we shared pictures of our work areas. Tonight I thought I'd
share some photos of what we see when we escape from our offices, like we
did this afternoon. We were headed down to the office supply to shoot some
quick pics of props to use in some web graphics, but we got so distracted
by the beautiful early winter day that we ended up using our batteries in
the digital camera up shooting scenes near our house.
The snowcapped hills west of I-5, part of the eastern Cascades mountain
range. The first shot is from one of our favorite backroad bicycling

overlooking downtown are the front edge of the western Cascades range.

Our house, and the view from Mallard Lane. We live in half of a large
duplex, and the landlord lives in the other half. That's our office window
looking out on the porch on the lower level. It's in what was intended to
be the master bedroom. The other bedrooms, kitchen and living area are
upstairs.

As usual, Toonie, a large blue merle Sheltie, is hard at work guarding his
turf next to my office chair. One day last week I forgot he was there,
tripped over him and felt flat on my face:
