Got this message today from the San Francisco Chapter of the Association of
Internet Professionals ( http://sf.association.org ). I'll probably be going
to the event, but they'll be broadcasting it on CNet Radio, too (see details
below).

Subject: [AIP-SF] (AIP-SF Event 12/1) Web Standards Project Panel with
Netscape and Microsoft

Association of Internet Professionals-San Francisco Chapter Meeting,
Tuesday, December 1, 1998

Tired of spending too much time making your web pages work in every browser?

If so, then this may be the event you want to attend. It might also be your
only opportunity to see Netscape and Microsoft onstage with founding members
of the Web Standards Project discussing Standards Support (or lack thereof)
in web browsers.

This event, a special meeting of the SF Association of Internet
Professionals, will take place at the Transmission Theatre and feature
Glenn Davis (Project Cool), Dan Shafer (CNET's Builder.com), Jeffrey Veen
(Hotwired's Webmonkey) along with representatives from Netscape and
Microsoft.

Fantasy: World Wide Web Wrestling Federation Tag Team Grudge Match

Reality: WSP, NS, and MS in discussions of browser standards support
live, unrehersed, on stage before a live audience and simulcast via CNET
Radio to the world at large. Look for a lively night with audience
participation so come armed with your browser war stories in hand.
