Last night at WebGrrls, we had a guy from MSFT there pitching their usability lab testing -- they apparantly need about 800 people/month. In his pitch, he said <paraphrase> we just think of ourselves as a small homegrown company. we're not really the largest independent software company in the world. IBM and HP are bigger. To which I pointed out that those two companies make *hardware* -- to which he replied, with a straight face, "but so does MSFT, we make mice." las I heard, MSFT had no manufacturing facilities at all -- I thought they contracted "out" the manufacture of their mice. Besides, mice are not "hardware" .... Anyway, this anecdote supports Bob's contention. kathy ____________________________________________________________________ -------------------------------------------------------------------- Join The Web Consultants Association : Register on our web site Now Web Consultants Web Site : http://just4u.com/webconsultants If you lose the instructions All subscription/unsubscribing can be done directly from our website for all our lists. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
