Actually, Pegasus does all of the above and a fair bit more. It's filtering
abilities in particular are very strong; you can literally run a small listserv
with it, based on its auto-forward/copy/etc features.

Combined with multi-POP/identity options, HTML support, spellchecking,
glossary, finger and LDAP clients, mail merge, mail annotation, etc etc...
really is a powerhouse. Been using it for years.

Mind you, it does have its quirks, rather like its author David Harris <g> On
the other hand, Harris is also very good about responding to bug reports,
suggestions for new features, etc.

BTW, here's Harris on why Pegasus is still free:

"[After releasing the first version in 1989] I found that I was receiving mail
from people thanking me for giving them something they couldn't have
afforded any other way -- communication. I realised then that
communication had to be regarded as a right, not as a privilege: it seemed
to me in 1989, as it still seems to me now, that freedom of speech is
useless if nobody can hear you. Giving away Pegasus Mail seemed to be a
means by which I could try to make communication more accessible to a
much wider range of people who needed it."

Gotta love an attitude like that.

P.S. Note the "fancy header" above :)
