Sterling silver hoop. Haven't taken it out since the day I bought it
from the street vendor in Dublin. That'll be something like 5, maybe 6
years, first week of January . . .. before that I think I had the same
one for 12 years or so (turquoise bear foot a nice navajo woman gave me
for changing a tire . . . wore it til it fell apart). I forget I have
it in sometimes.
Think I paid $5. Shoulda paid the extra five for the piercing . . . I
had mine done by a best friend with a bottle of vodka, a gold stud, and
an ice cube. (yeah, that kinda hurt the next day when I sobered up . .
. freshman year in college and all. <G>)
Anyway, that's a pretty common habit for guys, I think. I rarely meet
guys that actually change the earring regularly.
