Gerry,
I've always found translation software lacking when it comes to literal translations,
let alone translations of technical material. As far as a hardcopy dictionary is
concerned, I'd recommend Oxford's "Duden." It's about the best you're going to come
across. You'll still have problems with words like "bestueckungsplan" though. The
book does translate "bestueckung," but it's not going to provide you the level of
depth you probably need.
Btw, I'm fluent in German, and I agree with what Gerry Ott had to say about the
translation software. I've used a number of those packages.
Next best bet: farm out the translations to a Dolmetscher (interpreter). It may cost
you a bit of coin, but you should get exactly what you need.
