Hi All,

I've looked high and low, but can't find a straight answer, so on to the
tribe:

I have to upgrade my NT Workstation to NT Server (not to Linux or a Mac,
folks). I have not found any clear answer on whether there is a straight
upgrade method to do so.

>From the looks of things, I've gotta start with a blank disk, install NT
Server, then reinstall all my app software, which I don't want to do (would
rather have nubbies slammed in car door).

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do an upgrade without losing all the
NT Workstation configs and app setup info. I've heard rumor that the real
difference between NT Workstation and NT Server is a registry setting (and
the extra web server software that comes with NT Server). If so, I'd like to
know....would sure beat having to start from scratch. I'm really just trying
to test some software that "requires NT Server" to run. I think the app is
just checking a version or some config file, rather than trying to load some
NT Server specific files (but I'm willing to upgrade all the way to NT
Server anyway).

Thanks,
Jack
