Hi All,

        I haven't been following this thread so perhaps I've
missed the point, however ...

        Using NT 4.0 enter 'ftype' at the DOS prompt (no quotes). 
A listing of command strings to associate an application with a
file types will be returned. Also at the DOS prompt 'assoc' will
display or modify this association. 'Help' will provide further
information.
