Who is your target market? That's the publications you look for.
While we have over 8,00 media contacts, we have our personal
group of approx 400 that we contact regularly -- some be fax,
some by letter and some by e-mail. We also advertise in some
targeted publications, i.e., law journals, retail publications, etc.

But what draws the best for us in offline advertisements are my
columns in Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine. Never seems
to stop each time a new column comes out.

For real local stuff, try those place mats in your local diner
(assuming they have them -- diners and place mats). They draw
local business. We also use post cards that are sent out to
local businesses regularly (every 3-4 weeks) and a fax broadcast
to local businesses. Often they don't respond for over a year,
but they keep it in file.

And of course, if you really want to spend the bucks and do it
right, do a seminar. They **always** attract a large crowd and
lot's of business. You have a capture audience where you can
tell them how great you are in laymen's terms. Try linking up
with local groups like Chamber of Commerce or Rotary for seminars.
